Why we built MoveTogether.
Global trade runs on a shared problem that everyone solves alone — and on tools priced for the few. We think that’s backwards. Four beliefs shaped what we built.
Everyone needs the same data.
The importer, the broker, and the agencies are all looking at the same shipment — yet each keeps a separate copy of the truth, in email threads, spreadsheets, and PDFs. Those copies drift. Drift is where errors, delays, and disputes live.
The tariff schedule, the rulings, the overlays — this is shared reference data. Everyone should be working from one live, current copy of it, and from one shared record of the goods. Not because it’s convenient, but because it’s correct. When both sides see the same truth, the disagreements that remain are the real ones — the ones worth having.
It should be affordable — for small companies too.
Serious trade-compliance software has always been priced for the Fortune 500: six-figure contracts, long implementations, a team to run it. So the small importer and the two-person brokerage make do with spreadsheets and hope.
But the rules are the same whether you bring in one container a year or a thousand — and getting them wrong often falls hardest on the small player. Good compliance shouldn’t be a luxury good. MoveTogether is built to be within reach of the people who need it most: start free, pay for what you use, no enterprise gatekeeping.
It should be a delight to use.
Compliance tools are notoriously grim — dense, dated, and punishing to open. We don’t accept that trade-off. Software you use every day should feel good: fast, clear, even warm.
That’s why the type is beautiful, the numbers are easy to read, and there’s a crew of beavers on the team. Delight isn’t decoration — it’s what makes a tool people actually adopt, keep open, and trust. If it’s a pleasure to use, you’ll use it well.
It should make professionals better.
We’re not here to replace the customs broker or the compliance manager. Their judgment is the product of years, and it’s the thing that matters most. AI that pretends otherwise is both wrong and dangerous.
Our job is to give experts leverage — do the legwork, surface the sources, catch what’s easy to miss, and hand them a stronger position to make the call. The best tools don’t make expertise obsolete. They make experts formidable.
A shared platform, priced for everyone, that people are glad to open — in the hands of professionals it makes better.
That’s MoveTogether.
