MoveTogether.ai (“MoveTogether”, “we”, “us”) never sells your data, and we don’t use your content to train AI models. This policy explains what we collect on movetogether.ai and in the MoveTogether app, why we collect it, how we handle it, and your rights over it.
Content that a company puts into its own MoveTogether workspace is handled under that company’s agreement with us, our Terms of Service, as well as this policy.
What we collect and why
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here’s what that means in practice:
Identity and access
When you sign up, we ask for your name, email address and company name, so we can set up your account and workspace and send you sign-in codes and essential updates. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, they share your name and email with us. We never see your password. We only send product news if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
Waitlist
If you join the beta waitlist, we keep your work email and anything else you choose to add: your name, company, the kind of organization you work for, and whether you are a licensed broker. We use it to send your invitation and to decide who to invite next.
Product interactions
We store what you add to the app, such as products, documents, bills of materials, classifications and chat messages, so the Service can work. We keep it while your account is open.
General geolocation data
We log your full IP address when you sign up and each time you sign in, to keep accounts secure and detect abuse.
Website and app interactions
Like most websites, we record basic data about visits, such as browser type, pages visited and errors, so we can keep the Service working and see what to improve.
Cookies
The app uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. On the website, we use Google Analytics cookies to see which pages are visited and how people find us, but only if you allow them; they stay off until you do. We don’t use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time withCookie settings, also in the footer of every page.
Voluntary correspondence
When you email us, report a bug or send a suggestion, we keep that conversation, including your email address, so we have a history of past correspondence to refer to.
AI features
When you use an AI feature, the relevant part of your content is sent to an AI model provider to produce the answer. We use these providers under terms that don’t allow them to train their models on your content, and we don’t use your content to train models either.
When we access or share your information
To provide the Service. We use a small number of service providers (subprocessors) to run MoveTogether, under contracts that limit how they can use your information:
- Railway: Application hosting (United States)
- Neon: Database hosting, on Amazon Web Services in the United States (Virginia)
- Cloudflare: Website hosting, DNS and network security
- Stytch: Sign-in and account security
- Resend: Invitations, waitlist confirmations and other service email
- Google: AI models, and our business email
- Anthropic: AI models
- Google Analytics: Website traffic measurement, only if you allow analytics cookies
Within your workspace. The people you work with in a workspace can see the content shared in it.
To help you. Our team doesn’t look at your content unless you ask us to, for example to troubleshoot a problem, or in the rare cases below.
To investigate misuse. We may access an account if we have reason to believe it is being used to break our Terms of Service or the law.
When required by law. We hand over information only when we are legally compelled to, and we tell you about the request unless the law forbids it.
Aggregated data. We may use information that has been aggregated and can’t identify you, such as how often a feature is used, to run and improve the Service.
If the company changes hands. If MoveTogether is acquired or merges with another company, we will tell you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different policy.
Your rights over your information
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- give you a copy of it, including in a portable format;
- correct it if it’s wrong;
- delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
- stop or limit how we use it, or stop sending you marketing.
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, Canada’s PIPEDA or California’s CCPA), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights. Email support@movetogether.ai. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will respond within 30 days.
How we secure your data
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each workspace’s data is kept separate, and only the few people on our team who need access to run the Service have it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Deletion and retention
When you close your account, we delete your content and personal information within 60 days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or security reasons. Deleted data can stay in encrypted backups for up to 30 more days before it rolls off. Waitlist entries are kept until you join or ask us to remove you.
Where your data is stored
MoveTogether runs in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, including Canada, the EU or the UK, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. If your organization needs a data processing agreement for those transfers, contact us.
Children
MoveTogether is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy as the Service or the law changes. If we make a significant change, we will update the date at the top and tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Questions: support@movetogether.ai.
